What makes a difference in our day to day life?
Many of us have learned different modalities to help find our inner peace. Yoga, meditation, visualizing the desired outcome work, affirmations are some every day ways that have proven beneficial. Regardless of what you know, your mind may still play old tapes that foster doubt or worry. Our thoughts and feelings come and go. Sometimes they stay in a negative space. Sometimes in a wonderful space of love and healing.
I have enjoyed learning various ways to help my mind, body and soul relax and be in harmonious quiet. In Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT) we focus on learning how to clear past life energies and what we call programs. However, sometimes we are so used to a problem we expect a repeat of the issue. Although we have released the energies and programs our brain may be stuck in a certain way of thinking. To help release these negative brain waves/patterns I suggest what I call conscious mind work. There is a lot of wonderful conscious mind work on the planet. You may have a favorite of your own. I like Byron Katie’s work as well as others. Mostly it is a combination of techniques that help me change how I think.
In the SRT community one conscious mind tool we have is called Releasing statements. The releasing statements have three parts to the process. All three parts must be completed for full benefit. An example of a releasing statement is:
I release all belief, perception and judgment that __________
I release all need and desire to believe_______________
I now completely accept and believe and instruct my subconscious to accept and believe on every level of my being that_________________
You would fill in the desired issue. Such as…
I release all belief, perception and judgment that I have been abandoned.
I release all need and desire to believe that I have been abandoned.
I now completely accept and believe and instruct my subconscious to accept and believe on every level of my being that I am free from feelings of abandonment and feel loved and accepted.
Releasing statements do not require repetition like an affirmation. They are different. What is necessary is to keep all 3 steps in the releasing. This technique physically changes the neuropathways of your brain and allows new thought patterns.
You can use these statements also when you are wishing to learn something new. Release the belief you cannot learn it or that it is difficult or hard. Replace it with ease, simplicity, intelligence and skill. Try it. Some people notice the changes straight away. Working with our physical body conscious and subconscious minds continues every day. May you find yours filled with love and hope for the future.
